* क्रिसमस 25 दिसंबर को ईसा मसीह (Jesus Christ) के जन्मदिन के रूप में मनाया जाता है। यह दिन ईसाई धर्म के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण त्योहारों में से एक है। 25 दिसंबर को क्रिसमस मनाने के पीछे ऐतिहासिक, धार्मिक और सांस्कृतिक कारण हैं:

* प्रभु यीशु मसीह के जन्म की कहानी बाइबिल में "नया विधान " (New Testament) के दो पुस्तकों, संत मत्ती (st.Matthew) और संत लूका (st. Luke) में वर्णित है। यह कहानी उनके दिव्य जन्म, उनके माता-पिता, और उनके आगमन के विशेष चिह्नों का वर्णन करती है।

* बाइबिल में ईसा मसीह के जन्म की तिथि स्पष्ट रूप से नहीं दी गई है। हालाँकि, चौथी शताब्दी में रोमन साम्राज्य ने 25 दिसंबर को ईसा मसीह के जन्मदिन के रूप में मान्यता दी।

यीशु के जन्म [लूका 2:1-20 और मत्ती 1:18-25]

1. मरियम और स्वर्गदूत का संदेश:

बाइबिल के अनुसार, मरियम (Mary) एक पवित्र कुंवारी युवती थी, जो युसूफ(Joseph) से विवाह के लिए प्रतिज्ञा कर चुकी थी।स्वर्गदूत गेब्रियल (Gabriel) ने मरियम को संदेश दिया कि वह पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा गर्भवती होगी और वह एक पुत्र को जन्म देगी। वह उसका नाम इम्मानुएल रखेगी।"  "इम्मानुएल" का अर्थ है "ईश्वर हमारे साथ।" स्वर्गदूत ने यह भी बताया कि यह बच्चा परमेश्वर का पुत्र होगा और वह संसार का उद्धार करेगा।

2.  युसूफ (Joseph) को स्वर्गदूत का दर्शन:

माता  मरियम की मंगनी युसूफ (Joseph) से हुई थी, परंतु ऐसा हुआ कि उनके एक साथ रहने से पहले ही मरियम पवित्र आत्मा से गर्भवती हो गई. उसका पति युसूफ (Joseph) चुपकै से उसका परित्याग करने की सोच रहा था. क्योंकि वह धर्मी था और मरियम को बदनाम नहीं करना चाहता था.वह इस पर विचार कर ही रहा था कि उसे स्वप्न में प्रभु का दूत यह कहते दिखाई दिया, युसूफ! (Joseph) दाऊद की संतान! अपनी पत्नी मरियम को अपने यहां लाने में नहीं डरे, क्योंकि उनके जो गर्व है, वह पवित्र आत्मा से है. वह पुत्र प्रसव करेगी और आप उसका नाम ईसा रखेंगे, क्योंकि वह अपने लोगों को उनके पापों से मुक्त करेगा. युसूफ (Joseph) ने मरियम से विवाह किया और परमेश्वर के आदेश का पालन किया।

3. बेथलेहम में यीशु का जन्म:-

उस दिन केसर अगस्तस मैं समस्त जगत की जनगणना की राजाज्ञा  निकाली. यह पहली जनगणना थी और उसे  समय क्विरिनियुस    सीरिया का राज्यपाल था. सब लोग नाम लिखवाने के लिए अपने-अपने नगर जाते थे. युसूफ दाऊद के घराने और वंशज का था. इसलिए वह गाली लिया के नाज़रथ से यहूदियों में दौड़ के नगर बेथलहम गया, जिससे वह अपनी गर्भवती पत्नी मरियम के साथ नाम लिखवाए. वह वही थे जब मरियम के गर्भ के दिन पूरे हो गए, और उसने अपने वह पहलोठे पुत्रों को जन्म दिया और उसे कपड़ों में लपेटकर जरनी में लिटा दिया; क्योंकि उनके लिए सराय में जगह नहीं  थी.

4. स्वर्गदूतों का संदेश और गड़रियों का आगमन:-

उस रात, स्वर्गदूतों ने पास के मैदानों में चरवाहों को यीशु के जन्म की सूचना दी। उन्होंने कहा, "आज दाऊद के नगर में तुम्हारे लिए एक उद्धारकर्ता जन्मा है।"
चरवाहे तुरंत चरनी के पास गए, यीशु को देखा, और परमेश्वर की महिमा करने लगे।

5. पूर्वज्योतिषी और तारा:-

संत मत्ती के अनुसार, कुछ ज्योतिषी पूरब से आए और उन्होंने एक तारा देखा, जो उन्हें यीशु के पास ले गया।
वे बालक यीशु को सोने, लोबान, और गंधरस के उपहार चढ़ाने आए। यह उपहार उनके राजा, ईश्वर और उनके बलिदान के प्रतीक थे।

6. हेरोद का षड्यंत्र और मिस्र पलायन:-

राजा हेरोद को यीशु के जन्म के बारे में पता चला, और उसने बालक को मारने की योजना बनाई। स्वर्गदूत ने युसूफ (Joseph) को चेतावनी दी, और वह मरियम और यीशु के साथ मिस्र चले गए।

आज के समय में क्रिसमस न केवल एक धार्मिक त्योहार है, बल्कि यह वैश्विक स्तर पर सांस्कृतिक और सामाजिक उत्सव बन गया है। इस दिन परिवार एक साथ समय बिताते हैं, उपहारों का आदान-प्रदान करते हैं, और दान करते हैं।

3. Birth of Jesus in Bethlehem:-

That day, Caesar Augustus issued a royal order to conduct a census of the entire world. This was the first census and was conducted at the time Quirinius was governor of Syria. Everyone used to go to their respective cities to get their names enrolled. Joseph belonged to the family and descendants of David. So he took abuse and ran from Nazareth among the Jews to the city of Bethlehem, so that he could enroll with his pregnant wife Mary. It was there that the days of Mary's pregnancy were completed, and she gave birth to her firstborn sons and wrapped him in clothes and laid him on the journey; Because there was no room for them in the inn.

4. Message of angels and arrival of shepherds:-

According to St. Matthew, some wise men came from the east and saw a star, which led them to Jesus.
They came to offer gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to the baby Jesus. These gifts were symbols of their king, God and their sacrifice.

6. Herod's conspiracy and escape to Egypt:-

King Herod learned of Jesus' birth, and planned to kill the child. The angel warned Joseph, and he accompanied Mary and Jesus to Egypt.
